Connecting a single LED directly to a microcomputer port is usually
possible.
• Supply voltage, Vcc = 5V,
• LED forward voltage, Vdiode = 2V,
• Required diode current, Idiode = 15 mA (note that the data
sheet for your chosen LED will provide this information).
This gives a required R value of 200Ω.
